JUNUH IN HOME AND HEALTHCARE LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team in Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities:
- Assist clinical staff with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and health information in EMR systems
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory
- Administer medications and injections as directed by supervising healthcare providers
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments
- Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification a plus
- Previous clinical or in-home healthcare experience preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills
- Strong phlebotomy and vital signs assessment skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a commitment to quality care
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for in-home visits
